Monotone professors + boring subjects = One long semester

So I survived the first week back. I don't think that's something that's supposed to be said about the first week of school. But statistics, government, intro to the arts, developmental psychology, and foundations of christian life are not exactly thrilling courses. Well, actually, the last two are probably my favorites, but I still have all the rest of them to sit through. My laptop and the wireless connection are a gift from God in those classrooms. I already had a quiz in stats, I have a test in intro to the arts, and a paper due in foundations. Ummm.... so much for easy semesters and slacking off. College has lost that charm it once had. That exitement. It's still great, but not quite as great. Maybe this is the beginnings of senoritis?! Wow, this is going to be a long semester......

Yet, how often are we guilty of trying to hang on to everything and anything else, and then finally realizing Jesus is the only thing we need to cling to?

Okay, so maybe it's just me. But it takes a while to get it through my thick head that I can't fix all of my needs. After trying so hard to do things myself, I finally come to the conclusion that no matter how hard I try, I will always come up short.

In order for us to accept our Savior, we have to first realize that we have a need. A need that causes us to deny our own righteousness, and accept His.

Mmmhmm....thank the Lord for that.

So I now have a Xanga, Myspace, and this? Hmmm.... I really am not that interesting. I don't have that much to say. And usually it's just some random thing that I've been thinking about or doing. But feel free to read and comment on whatever happens to pop into this crazy mind of mine and land on the pages of this blog. :)
